Case Report: The "atoll sign": a case series on an unusual radiological pattern of immune-mediated pneumonitis. (PubMed, Front Immunol)
Despite pembrolizumab discontinuation, both patients maintained durable systemic disease control. These cases emphasize the importance of recognizing uncommon radiological patterns such as the atoll sign in patients receiving ICIs, highlighting the need for vigilance even after prolonged therapy and underscoring the potential for sustained oncologic benefit despite treatment discontinuation.

NT5E promotes colorectal cancer progression and correlates with PD-L1 expression: evidence from multi-omics analysis, clinical samples, and cellular functional assays. (PubMed, BMC Cancer)
NT5E accelerates disease progression by promoting malignant biological behaviors in colorectal cancer and synergistically shaping an immunosuppressive microenvironment with PD-L1. Its overexpression constitutes an independent adverse prognostic factor. This discovery offers novel insights for anti-PD-1/PD-L1 combination immunotherapy.

Comparative evaluation of machine learning models for predicting PD-L1 high expression in resectable NSCLC: a dual-center study integrating [18F]FDG PET/CT and clinicopathological features. (PubMed, Front Immunol)
We developed and validated an interpretable, [18F]FDG PET/CT-based nomogram integrating SUVmax and clinical-pathological features to non-invasively predict PD-L1 high expression in resectable NSCLC. This study suggests that traditional LR offers comparable predictive accuracy to complex ML algorithms, while providing enhanced clinical transparency and a potential non-invasive adjunct for personalized nCIT decision-making.

A pragmatic workflow for advanced NSCLC diagnosis in routine practice: Integrating histopathology, PD-L1 scoring, and EGFR testing. (PubMed, Lung India)
A biopsy-level reflex workflow enables feasible, tissue-efficient concurrent molecular and immune profiling in advanced NSCLC. Integration of TPS, CPS, TIL assessment, and EGFR testing within a reflex workflow demonstrates the feasibility of coordinated immuno-molecular profiling from limited biopsy tissue in advanced NSCLC.

NFYB-lncRNA axis resets the tumor microenvironment to promote HCC aggressive progression by a positive feedback loop. (PubMed, Acta Pharm Sin B)
Notably, treatment with an IL-1β inhibitor enhances the blockade efficacy of PD-L1 in NFYB-overexpressing HCC. Our findings imply an immunosuppressive role of NFYB-LINC01137 signaling during aggressive HCC progression and support the concept of microenvironment engineering in immunotherapy.

Preclinical evaluation of [68Ga]Ga-MRCP: a potential radiotracer for imaging PD-L1 expression in colorectal cancer. (PubMed, Bioorg Chem)
Notably, the tracer showed potential in quantifying dynamic changes in PD-L1 expression during immunotherapy. Collectively, this study confirms that [68Ga]Ga-MRCP can specifically target PD-L1, highlighting its potential for dynamically monitoring PD-L1 expression during immunotherapy.

CT-based radiomics as a non-invasive virtual biopsy for high PD-L1 expression prediction in non-small cell lung cancer. (PubMed, Cancer Imaging)
Our findings support the feasibility of CT-based radiomics as a potential tool for virtual biopsy to identify NSCLC patients with high PD-L1 expression (≥50%), potentially serving as a complementary or alternative tool to tissue biopsy, especially in cases where biopsy is contraindicated or insufficient.

c-Myc-Induced Therapy Resistance in Leukemia: Mechanisms and Emerging Therapeutic Opportunities. (PubMed, Med Sci (Basel))
Its overexpression is linked to poor treatment outcomes across various leukemia subtypes. Directly targeting c-Myc remains challenging; however, indirect epigenetic modifiers (BET inhibitors), transcriptional disruption (CDK9 inhibitors), and combination therapies emerge as promising strategies to suppress its oncogenic activity and overcome resistance, paving the way for improved clinical management.

Case Report: Successful conversion surgery following chemo-antiangiogenic therapy in a lung adenocarcinoma patient with active rheumatoid arthritis and rare EGFR mutation after immunotherapy-triggered flare. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
Initial therapy with 'pemetrexed + carboplatin + tislelizumab' was administered...The RA flare was managed with methylprednisolone 1 mg/kg/day followed by a slow prednisone taper and sulfasalazine. Treatment was switched to 'pemetrexed + carboplatin + bevacizumab'...It may create a potential opportunity for conversion surgery in well-responding patients, enabling long-term disease control. This case underscores the critical importance of highly individualized, multidisciplinary treatment decision-making.

NEDD4L suppresses colorectal cancer metastasis and immune escape by inhibiting STAT3 signaling. (PubMed, Tissue Cell)
NEDD4L is downregulated in CRC and associated with the dysregulation of the TME. NEDD4L overexpression could inhibit CRC metastasis and immune evasion by repressing STAT3 signaling, suggesting that it is a potential target for improving CRC treatment efficacy.

Response to nivolumab as an immune checkpoint inhibitor rechallenge for esophageal squamous cell carcinoma with PD-L1 amplification: a case report. (PubMed, Ther Adv Med Oncol)
The patient achieved a PR after 3.1 months of nivolumab treatment, although disease progression was observed after 5 months. Although limited by its single-patient nature, this report suggests that PD-L1 gene amplification may represent complementary biological information associated with the efficacy of ICI rechallenge, warranting further investigation in larger cohorts.

Complete radiographic response to immunotherapy in a patient with metastatic anaplastic thyroid cancer - a case report and review of the literature. (PubMed, Front Oncol)
Due to high PD-L1 expression of the tumor, the patient was offered off-label immunotherapy with an immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) (nivolumab monotherapy) and demonstrated a remarkable radiographic and clinical response, achieving prolonged progression-free survival (12 months) and overall survival (18 months). ICIs may represent a valuable therapeutic option for patients with metastatic ATC exhibiting high PD-L1 expression. The presented case report and literature review underscore the need for clinical trials to confirm the efficacy of immunotherapy in ATC.
